Held on the first Sunday of each month, every workshop in this series of 3-hour classes will focus a different chapter from the Bhagavad Gita−one of the most important ancient yogic texts. The extended duration allows more time for lecture, meditation, chanting from the Gita and the opportinity to explore longer, slow-moving asana sequences. Classes are open to all levels.
The Bhagavad Gita uses the battlefield as a metaphor to represent the mental battle which takes place while on the spiritual journey. The workshops begin with Chapter 1 with each month proceeding on to the next chapter. In this first series, themes will include sorrow, anxiety, lineage, dharma, the soul, karma, death and meditation.
